As the SMT / �Surface Mount Operator you will be instrumental in the production of high-quality electronic products within a state-of-the-art facility. Under the guidance of the Production Manager, you will take charge of the PCB Assembly surface mount line.

You will bring to the table a solid understanding of electronic manufacturing systems and processes, capable of not just operating but also maintaining the surface mount line to identify and rectify faults, and suggest improvements.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• A minimum of 1-2 years in an electronic manufacturing setting.


• Solder paste application equipment operation and maintenance.


• Pick and place equipment operation and maintenance.


• Vapour phase reflow equipment operation and maintenance.


• Advanced AOI equipment operation and maintenance.


• Training in surface mount operation - preferably with Mycronic equipment.

Desirable Qualifications:

• HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a comparable field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.


• IPC training.


• Experience in through-hole soldering and surface mount rework.

Additional Requirements:

You must be a UK National and be able to obtain and hold a high-level security clearance.
