Do you have experience in building maintenance and renovations? To ensure our Resident Members’ peace of mind, we are looking for a talented candidate to address all maintenance requests and emergencies. If you are passionate about fixing things, good with your hands, and mechanically adept, this role is for you !
Responsibilities
:
Ensure the health, comfort and safety of our Customers
Renovation projects such as cabinet installation
Special projects such as: water restoration, mould remediation, pest control (inspection and application), confined space work etc
Advise and assist Maintenance Associates with repairs and maintenance
Ensure daily communication with the Leader and team members
Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment
Ensure proper and accurate inventory management
Complete all required administration for the position on a tablet
Complete other tasks as assigned by the Leader
Work in compliance with Health and Safety regulations
Work as a team with other staff members to ensure goals are met
Experience and Educational Requirements:
Construction / carpentry background preferred with solid experience in drywall, residential plumbing, flooring, installing cabinetry and minor electrical
Framing experience would be an asset
Flood cleanup and mold remediation certification preferred
Experience doing forms and concrete work an asset
Technical Requirements:
Working knowledge of English both verbal and written
Driver’s license required with ability to drive truck with trailer
Familiarity with computer tablets is an asset
Non-Technical Requirements:
Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service

Ability to take responsibility for all actions and decisions and to follow through until a resolution is obtained
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Strong planning and organizational skills coupled with ability to multi-task and prioritize (excellent time-management skills)
Ability to work independently (self managed) and with other Associates in a team environment
Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change and be flexible in nature
Displays a high level of initiative and commitment to excellence
Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm and assertiveness
Ensure have all tool on the tool list prior to end of probationary period
Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
