Veterinary Surgeon vacancy, independent practice with no OOHs.



Role: Veterinary Surgeon



Salary: up to 60k+ pa, depending on experience



Hours: Permanent, Full time 30 to 42hrs p/w (average 36hrs). No OOHs.

VetFinders are proud to be the recruitment partner of a wonderful independent practice in Sittingbourne, looking to recruit a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with immediate effect.



The Role:



As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will need to be able and comfortable with a mixture of consultations and surgical procedures conducted in general practice. You must be confident and competent in the role of Veterinary Surgeon.



The candidate will be qualified, RCVS registered, and ideally have a minimum of 3 years of UK experience. All applications in terms of experience will be considered. This role is highly suited to a Veterinary Surgeon who is looking for a variety of clinical freedom, with a friendly client base, and many varied caseloads. The role offers a large opportunity for surgical procedures. Excellent veterinary skills in internal medicine, good soft tissue surgery skills, and excellent client communication skills are favourable.



You will be a good team player, happy to offer advice, personable and friendly, as well as communicate effectively to clients, with empathy and understanding.



This role itself is being offered on a permanent basis, 36 hours average across a 4-week rotational rota. In addition, a share of weekends is currently 1 in 4. Maximum weekly hours will be no more than 42hrs and no less than 30hrs. Flexibility to cover and make changes to a shift with good notice is also needed to be considered. �No OOHs. Part-time applications will be considered. A work-life balance is important to Borden Lane to get the best out of the staff and this is very much supported within practice.



Development and progression are important to the practice, as they grow and evolve, but finding the right person is key. The practice is looking for someone to work with the existing clients, and deliver a high excellent standard of patient care. The team currently has a strong work ethic to ensure quality and effective work is carried out to gain the best overall satisfactory results for the patient and the client.

Since the practice opened in 1992, it has developed a large, varied, and loyal client base. The practice prides its reputation on not only their hard work and dedication to their profession but their core values of compassion, integrity, and delivering excellence. These values run through the centre of the practice at all times.



The team is made up currently of 3 Vets, 6 RVNS, and lots of experienced support staff, always willing to lend a helping hand. They encourage the sharing of best practices, advice on cases, and developing ideas for progression and improvement.



Equipment in practice includes a modern internal lab and a new DR x-ray facility, as well as Klaser, Ultrasound, Tonometry, Pet Club, several nurse clinics and all the general equipment you would expect to find in practice.
