that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST .The VacancyRail / Civil EngineeringLocation – Warrington, North West(North West & Central region)Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer to join our North West & Central team, based in the regional office in Warrington. The successful candidate will be required to support a range of Asset maintenance and Infrastructure projects, providing accurate surveying, setting out, measurement and control of contract works. This includes, where appropriate, the supervision of resources and subcontractors on a portfolio of multi-disciplinary rail and civil engineering infrastructure, capital delivery projects around the North West & Central regional portfolio of works.Business UnitA busy and fast paced project environment with an expansive portfolio of civils projects underway including a line side rail civils contracts, bridges and structures renewals, large structural installations including new bridges, Access for All (AFA) schemes and general civils works.Projects can typically include bridge upgrades and refurbishments, station work (platforms etc), access for all schemes, structures including bridges and footbridges, line side civils etc.The RoleAs Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer, you will be reporting to the Project Manager and/or Site Agents and will be accountable for the weekly planning and ongoing delivery of a multitude of site based works around the region.Day to day responsibilities include but will not be limited to:• Site Safety, Health Environmental and Quality responsibilities for all site activities• Review and interpret project drawings, specifications for site based activity / engineering.• Setting out and surveying works on site• Ensuring that site engineering is carried out in a professional, systematic and accurate manner.• Supervision of works on site including labour, plant and subcontractors.• Keeping accurate records, including a diary, of all site activities.• Taking off and ordering of materials.• Daily and weekly planning of site works being carried out, including assisting in the production of Risk Assessments, Work Package Plans, Inspection Test Plans and other documentation.• Day to day management of sub-contractors and engineers as requiredRequirementsTo excel in this role, you will have previous experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer with Setting Out experience having worked on civil engineering projects or elements of a multi-disciplinary project in the rail sector.Qualifications & experience• Degree / HNC / HND in Civil Engineering• Experience in the weekly planning of the delivery of site works including production and review of associated Inspection Test Plans, Work Package Plans and Task Briefs.In returnCompetitive annual salary negotiable dependant on experience25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service)Company contributory Pension schemeLife InsuranceWestfield Health Cash Plan & Westfield RewardsSupport and employee infrastructure embedded in the business as a platform for personal and professional development creating pathways for unrivalled career development and progression opportunities internally.Consistent learning opportunitiesA safe place to workEmployee forum’s that provide a platform for having your voice heardThe CompanyWhy AmcoGiffen?You will be joining a reputable and firmly established, engineering contractor operating nationally in rail, civils and engineering markets.
