Elevate your career amidst the scenic surroundings of Bewl Water in Kent. A prestigious client seeks a seasoned Senior Engineer to become an integral part of their dynamic team. This pivotal role offers the chance to work closely with the Site Manager, providing indispensable technical expertise, orchestrating design and temporary works, and overseeing quality control to construct contract works to exacting specifications, all within the bounds of stringent safety protocols.Site Senior EngineerAs the chosen Site Senior Engineer, one will be entrusted with the coordination of temporary works, acting as the appointed Temporary Works Coordinator. This includes maintaining up–to–date training, participating in internal forums, and managing all aspects of temporary works on–site. The role demands meticulous oversight of subcontractor designs, ensuring harmonious integration with other designs and permanent works, coupled with the proactive management of the temporary works register.Design coordination is another cornerstone of this position. The successful candidate will maintain drawing files and registers, ensuring seamless communication with the design department and facilitating the transition from design to construction. Managing the RFI register and fostering collaboration between designers and the site team will be key responsibilities.Technical input is also paramount. The role requires a thorough technical review of subcontractor method statements, programmes, and ITPs, ensuring site work aligns with specifications, drawings, and designs. The Senior Engineer will also be instrumental in supporting the Site Foreman and Manager, maintaining quality records, and conducting on–site inspections.Experience as a Lifting Appointed Person is highly regarded, with responsibilities including the coordination and approval of subcontractor lift plans and occasionally producing lift plans for specific site requirements.Essential qualifications include a BTEC National or HNC in Civil Engineering/Construction.
