ABOUT ZENOBE Our goal is to make clean power accessible, to accelerate the shift to zero carbon power and transport. We’re building and operating the world’s most sophisticated battery systems to enable the uptake of more renewable power and accelerating fleet electrification, de-risking the transition to zero-emission transport at scale. We’ve been consistently innovative since we were founded in 2017, achieving major industry firsts and using proprietary software and data analysis to optimise operational performance for our customers. At the end of their life, we repurpose electric vehicle batteries to provide clean power at depots, on construction sites and film sets. Today we have 730 MW of grid scale battery storage operational and under construction and are the largest owner and operator of EV buses in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, supporting over 1,000 electric vehicles worldwide. In our first five years we have raised nearly £1.8 billion in funding and have expanded into other markets such as the US. THE OPPORTUNITY Zenobē Limited is seeking an experienced and autonomous Reliability Engineer to drive impactful multi-phase reliability initiatives across our Edge infrastructure systems and products. This role involves owning and delivering on team goals, defining technical solutions, and collaborating extensively to ensure high levels of system reliability and performance. This position is contract-based. A TASTE OF THE DAY TO DAY Key ResponsibilitiesScope and Autonomy:
Own and deliver semi-annual/annual goals for the team, driving technical solutions to solve complex, open-ended problems.
Define technical solutions and operational processes to elevate team capabilities and performance.
Collaborative Reach:
Lead the team's impact beyond its boundaries, driving cross-team initiatives to optimize performance and reliability.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to align technical solutions with customer needs and product goals.
Impact Levers:
Shape medium-to-long term technical strategies for business-critical projects.
Define and deliver technical roadmaps for large projects, fostering mentorship and growth within the team.
Results:
Deliver team goals with high quality and customer impact.
Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes with broader business impact.
Take ownership of decisions and failures, leveraging learnings to drive continuous improvement.
Decision Making:
Make informed decisions balancing stakeholder input and strategic goals.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
Extensive expertise in Edge computing platforms and solutions.
Proficiency in AWS, Terraform/CDK, Kubernetes, Virtualization, Ansible, IoT devices, Edge Hardware, and Linux.
Deep understanding of technical aspects related to Edge computing and system reliability.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience transitioning solutions from development to production environments.
Relevant certifications in Edge computing or related technologies.
Familiarity with Zenobē Limited's industry and niche.
