At MYTILINEOS, we foster a culture of resilience, challenge, respect, excellence, and change, empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes. We are currently looking for a Site QC Electrical Engineer to join our QC team of our M Power Projects across UK. By joining this role, you’ll play a vital role in overseeing and implementing quality control measures for electrical installations. The responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to project specifications and codes as well as conducting regular inspections of electrical components, systems, and equipment.Your role will encompass:
Maintain safety standards and adhere to the Project’s Health, Safety, and Environment Management System requirements Report to the Site Quality Manager and collaborate with the construction team on quality issues Execute and improve the Project Quality Plan, ensuring compliance with project requirements through specifications, procedures, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and method statements (MSs) Issue Request for Inspection (RFI) to the Client and maintain a register file for inspection progress Verify inspections in accordance with ITPs, ensuring proper staff and calibrated equipment usage, checking required inspection points, and reporting non-conformities to the Quality Control Supervisor Inspect materials/equipment during receipt, ensuring compliance and monitoring preservation during storage, handling, and installation Conduct visual inspections, dimensional tests, and checks on various electrical equipment during erection based on ITPs, updating as-built drawings Verify calibration of equipment, installation of instruments/tubing, and conduct final walk downs, recording observations and monitoring the progress of punch items What you bring to the role:
Formal engineering training and technical qualifications 5 + years of previous experience in electrical inspection activities for Power Plants or Oil & Gas projects Proficient in completion systems, including final walkdowns, punch items, and turnover packages Exposure to high voltage electrical installations, including switchgear and electric drives Experience in Hazardous Area installation and equipment ATEX inspection Instrument calibrations, including ultrasonic flow meters, level transmitters, temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters, etc Familiarity with construction standards, codes of practice, regulations/legislation, particularly BS/IEC/ISO/API/ATEX/EEMUA codes and standards related to electrical and instrumentation work Your Benefits:
