We have an opportunity for an experienced Site Operations Manager to join Sharpsmart and take responsibility for the running of the Sharpsmart operational facility in Spennymoor. The successful candidate will be a strong people manager with excellent interpersonal skills who is able to lead and motivate the operational team whilst being technically experienced to manage the complex plant machinery and equipment. If you are looking for a new operational challenge and enjoy working in a fast paced environment then this role could be for you!Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and people management to ensure a safe and efficient operation of the Sharpsmart plant.Organise and effectively manage 24 hour shift rotations of Operatives and DriversPrioritise, plan and organise workload along with company projects to achieve company objectives and ensure targets are met Build and sustain effective professional working relationships with stakeholders (employees, customers, and suppliers)Provide a flexible approach adapting to client demands, employee requirements and plant operating ensuring necessary complianceBe aware of, demonstrate and encourage a safety-oriented mindset for all stakeholdersLiaise with and communicate with a wide variety of key stakeholders both internally and externallyFinancial management including assessing and forecasting costs against budgetsCandidate ProfileMinimum 3 years’ experience managing operational facilityExcellent track record of leading successful teams and individuals to required company outcomesStrong background in managing heavy plant machinery including awareness of maintenanceGood working knowledge of Employment Law and Health and Safety LegislationExperienced in managing disciplinaries, grievances, sickness/absence and performance managementHealth and safety qualification; IOSH/NEBOSH Wamitab advantageousDaniels Health & Sharpsmart is an equal opportunity employer.
