Full time is preference, but we could be amenable to part-time 3 or 4 days/week for the right individual.
This will be initially �a 3-6 month contract to support site surveys on IoW, reporting to the C&DL and covering the GSI works at the Sandown location of our proposed new treatment plant - as well as along the c.3.5KM pipeline route.� There is also the possibility for longer term employment at a major construction project to support the early enabling works - prior to main construction from Q3/Q4 2025.�
The role will cover�leading and directing a series of pre-construction survey works, and coordinate the safe management of all operational activities on all projects ensuring HSQE, programme and budget requirements are met.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage, supervise and mentor the site team as appropriate
- Adopt, maintain and promote cost conscious management through efficient use of all resources
- Ensure realistic scheme programmes are prepared, reviewed and updated
- Ensure method statements and risk assessments are prepared, reviewed, briefed and updated
- Checking site work to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings.
- Ensure all works are undertaken with due regard to the needs of the local population within the immediate vicinity of the works and the travelling public as a whole
- Liaise with the design team to ensure updated information is always used and survey information is gathered as required.
- Ensure that the required quality records are maintained.
- In conjunction with other site staff ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with current legislation, the company health & safety policy, procedures and safe working practices
Requirements:
- Recognised Civil Engineering/Site Management Qualifications
- SSSTS (Min), Health, Safety and Environmental Management (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate)
- CSCS Supervision card (Min), CSCS Site Manager (preferable)
- First Aid at Work certified
- Ideally experience in the Water/Waste Water Treatment Industry
