Site Manager

Job Title: Freelance Site Manager Location: Robertsbridge, East Sussex We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join our client's team. As a Freelance Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the site to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The Company: Our client is a specialist roofing and building contractor who provide solutions for commercial and industrial premises. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations on sites, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, tradespeople, and site personnel to ensure smooth project progression. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential risks, hazards, or compliance issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary. Manage site documentation, including permits, drawings, specifications, and progress reports. Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, clients, and project managers, to achieve project objectives and resolve any issues that may arise. Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions to promote a culture of safety and ensure all personnel are aware of relevant procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
Roofing experience is beneficial but not essential Must have proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry. Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification. Valid First Aid certification. Valid Fire Marshal training or certification. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, construction processes, and best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
