About this Role:An experienced Site Manager preferably with previous façade management experience, is required to work on this £10m façade replacement / strip amd recladding project in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day to day works on site - the project comprises the strip and reclad of a 25 storey tower in Portsmouth. The works take place within a tight site, adjacent to a busy railway line with roads on 2 sides, so safety and careful supervision is critical.Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site-based construction activities for your building including:Input to mid and short-term programming of works;Some input to design coordination with specialist sub-contractors;Ensuring company health and safety standards are planned, communicated, achieved and enforced;Review of method statements and risk assessments (RAMS);Logistics planning; Organising deliveries of materials, logistics, waste management, etc;Quality control; Inspections and test plans;Coordination meetings with trades and other managers;Reporting on progress against program;Client and end user interface;Issue resolution;Snagging and handover. About the Company/Client/Project:The company is a busy main contractor group with several large high rise student accommodation schemes in the Southampton and Portsmouth areas due for full recladding, so a potential pipeline of work for the next 2-3 years. This project in Portsmouth has commenced with works due to complete in Q1 2025.Requirements:The successful candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills. Proven track record of façade / external envelope work for a main contractor advantageous.Ideally from a construction management, trades or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail and quality throughout, you will possess strong planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.High standards, attention to detail and the drive to deliver on spec, budget and programme will be very well rewarded with excellent salary, benefits, promotional and development prospects.For more information on this contract please contact Martin Olney on (phone number removed) or send your CV to (url removed)Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
