SITE MANAGER (FREELANCE / 9 MONTH CONTRACT) - £240 PER DAY + PAID ACCOMADATION.



One of our well-known Modular clients is looking for an experienced Site Manager to work on a healthcare project in Scarborough.



Your primary responsibility as Site Manager is to ensure that the construction project is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The key focus on this role will be centred around site safety and overall programme; duties include monitoring site and ensuring all policy is followed, ensuring paperwork is efficiently reviewed and updated, contractors are on site and on programme, briefings are regularly undertaken, deliveries are booked in and managed, and progress is reported back to the wider project team.



This is a long term project starting in April (min 9 months).



Key Responsibilities As Site Manager:




  • Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with the wider Project team to monitor costs and programme.

  • Liaising with on-site teams, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public.

  • Coordinating and supervising on-site construction workers, including calling in subcontractors and managing an efficient delivery flow.

  • Advising the project team of any additional tools/materials/equipment which may be required in a timely manner.

  • Reviewing and accepting RAMS, contractor work processes, and coordinating all deliveries.

  • Actively participate in regular team calls, ensuring a 2-week lookahead is in place at all times (always planning ahead).

  • Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety. Completing  documentation and inspection reports as required.

  • Ensuring the site is fully compliant to all current CDM and client’s requirements.

  • Assessing and minimising risk – Reporting any potential risk to the Construction Manager.

  • Helping to negotiating contractor contracts and assisting with securing permits and licences.

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation related to the construction project. This includes daily diaries, progress reports, request orders for change, where required, safety records, and any other relevant paperwork.

  • Ensure online files and emails are regularly updated.

  • Enforcing the client’s H&S management systems and policy are enforced on site.

  • Regularly monitoring and reviewing programme with the wider Project team – the Site Manager is the key driving force on site.



Requirements As Site Manager:




  • Strong civil’s and fitout backgroud.

  • A recognised qualification relevant to the field is highly desirable such as structural/civil engineering, health and safety, or construction management.

  • Strong IT skills

  • CSCS Card

  • First Aid
