Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Site Manager will manage all day-to-day operational activities on site. Role will require the management of all site based activities and personnel such as: Foreman, gangers, directly employed operatives and sub-contractors to deliver works for long term clients and frameworks
Purpose of the role and your responsibilities; Ensure safety compliance, quality and productivity are being achieved by the site teams. Ensure the works are being constructed in line with the approved design and specifications, track changes to the programme, raise Technical Queries, Early Warnings, attend design meetings, attend client meetings such as; progress & commercial meetings. Work with Commercial team to update cost forecasts and assist with Compensation Events. Ensure materials are ordered in time and work with Quantity surveyors to let sub-contractor packages. Ensure that accurate and quality records are being completedCSCSSMSTS3 Day 1st AidHNC/HND/Degree (preferable)Professional membership (preferable)Skills required;Experience required;Highway projects - 3 years +Working on site managing work areas/site teamsHighway projects in urban areasHighway projects for Local AuthoritiesKnowledge;Technical - Highway Construction details, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB)Cost - Understanding cost and productivityProgramme - logic, critical path, short term planning, contract programmeCommercial - NEC3/4 form of contractsTeam playerAble to communicate to colleagues and clients at all levels Fairness, Inclusion and Respect (FIR) at Taylor Woodrow is about recognising and celebrating each other’s differences and what they bring to the team.
