The Role & Key Responsibilities
Job Title: Site Manager - Trident Micro Nutri (12 mth FTC/Secondment Opportunity)
Location: Randalstown NI Site - Can be UK or Northern Ireland based, Hybrid
(If UK based would need to travel to NI 2 - 3 times per month)

Reporting to our Supply Chain Director and working with a small, friendly and knowledgeable team. Our Randalstown site is key in the Supply Chain of nutrition and feed additives both direct to farm and to businesses serviced by Trident Micro Nutri (TMN). In order to be the leading ruminant supplier, this business is quickly growing and so needs to be adaptable and flexible whist maintaining high service levels and customer experience at all times. The role of Site Manager is instrumental in maintaining key relationships and ensuring the overall safety compliance of the site.
This role is vital in ensuring we work seamlessly as ‘One Team’ across Supply Chain and Commercial. The role holder will be continually striving for optimised processes, procedures and implementing change across the business to ensure streamlined operations whilst influencing and engaging with stakeholders, suppliers and third parties.
What you'll be doing;
Support and lead on project based activity – such as ensuring the site is fit for purpose, partnering with our Health and Safety Lead to assess site degradation and future needs.
Driving for optimised and lean processes across the TMN Team, identifying and eliminating process wastes.
Ensuring that the site reaches and maintains H&S standards as determined by both UK legislation and AB Agri, supported by the H&S team.
Day to day management including employee development and performance management. Liaising with the HR function as and when necessary.
Ensuring that all site employees are trained and follow relevant procedures
Ensuring all site equipment is maintained to a safe standard, working with external suppliers to support where applicable.
Participate in Supply and Demand reviews as part of the Sales & Operations Planning processes.
Inventory management ensuring FIFO on all stored products, and expiry dates are monitored and working capital costs kept at optimum levels.
Customer relationship management – setting expectations, complaint resolution and product/delivery queries.
Liaising with hauliers to negotiate pricing, service level agreements and non-conformance issues.
Complaint resolution and supplier relationship management from a sales orders perspective
What you'll bring;
Previous people management experience with the ability to engage and motivate a team.
Previous experience within food, animal feed, operational management or agriculture would be highly beneficial.
A strong understanding of HSE ideally with IOSH Foundation training.
Previous experience of implementing change and project implementation.
Ideally Supply Chain experience of organising haulage between UK and Ireland.
Tech savvy, with previous experience working with ERP systems and other databases, such as the Microsoft package with the ability to draw on data to support change.
This position is ideal for someone who is autonomous in their work ethic, with a motivation to progress the business with a commercial mindset.
Ability to build influential relationships at all levels, both internally and externally with stakeholders, suppliers, customers and 3rd parties.
Performs tasks and make key decisions in a timeframe that is responsive and pro-active.
