Site Manager (SMSTS)

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager with SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification to oversee a school project in Richmond, London. This role is for a 14-week contract, with the possibility of further opportunities based on performance and project needs.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction site, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment
Coordinate and supervise all on-site activities, including subcontractors, labor, and materials
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including adherence to SMSTS standards
Monitor project progress, maintain accurate records, and report to senior management
Resolve on-site issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise
Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
Qualifications And Requirements
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification is mandatory
Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in construction projects, preferably with experience in school or educational facility projects
Strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety standards
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and work collaboratively with various stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
First Aid certification and CSCS card are preferred
