Site Manager(Industrial civils)

Excellent opportunity to work for a leading Civils and groundworks Contractor operating within the Sittingbourne and Isle of Sheppey area on industrial and civils schemes.

Projects may include: car parks. tarmacking, machine basis, concreting and general civils schemes within the industrial sectors. Upto �1m in value.

The role:

• Supervise and manage construction works for the Project team


• Use experience to suggest suitable construction methods with constructability and costs in mind.


• Carryout all briefing on site and responsibility for putting men to work


• To ensure the highest possible Health, Safety & Environmental standards are employed across all projects, adhering to Skanska health and safety policy/ environmental policy.


• Actively promoting the Milestone behavioural safety programme (ISWM)


• Ensuring subcontractor compliance with Milestone Minimum standard at all times


• Meet client expectations with excellent communication skills with all stakeholders


• Coaching and Mentoring of General Foreman and Foreman


• Supervise and put to work site yardman, prioritising managing their tasks


• Ensuring quality procedures and compliance


• Notifying site team of issues on site and suggestions of how to overcome them


• To ensure the layout and setup are compliant with Milestone standards, safe systems of works


• Keeping a full diary and records of site activities that includes daily resources on site, dates of completion of key activities, details of record produces


• Input into planning process reporting on progress to date and blockers and movers. reporting to the Site Agent all discrepancies to the programme and input into forward planning

Qualifications ;

SMSTS , CSCS Card with a background in civils/groundworks.

Experience of general groundworks and civils.
