Are you a highly motivated and skilled individual with a passion for excellent work and maintaining a safe educational environment?We are seeking a dedicated school Site Manager to join our team at Loose Primary School. As the School Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our fabulous grounds and share our vision for a school which the children, staff and community are proud of.We are looking for someone with the following characteristics:Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in identifying and addressing maintenance needs, safety concerns and cleanliness throughout the school to ensure compliance with statutory health and safety standards and a high level of pride for our school.Proactive Approach: Demonstrate a proactive approach in identifying potential issues and taking preventative measures to maintain a secure and optimal learning environment.Competent in a Basic Level of Trade Standard SkillsOrganised: Maintain a system for tracking and managing maintenance requests, equipment inventory, contractor work and necessary supplies. Keep accurate records of completed tasks and ongoing projects.Prioritising Workload: Address urgent issues promptly while also planning and executing preventative maintenance schedules.Teamwork and Communication: Collaborate with other staff to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure the overall functionality of the school facility.Desirable Qualifications or Experience (advantageous but ongoing training and development will also be provided):Proficient in using Microsoft systems for email and communication.Proven experience in a role where these skills are demonstrated either in an educational or other site setting.Evidence of basic trade skills.General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or an equivalent qualification.First Aid at Work CertificationKnowledge of UK health and safety regulations and their practical application in an operational setting.Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing necessary control measures.Understanding of COSHH regulations and the safe handling of hazardous substances.Familiarity with fire safety protocols and emergency evacuation procedures.The position is permanent, working 52 weeks per year with 27 days paid leave plus bank holidays. We provide private health care cover, pension contributions and statutory sick pay. The normal working pattern is likely to be 38 hours per week, with some evenings / weekends as agreed for additional payment, but this can bediscussed at interview.The school is fully committed to the safeguarding of children, therefore all staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check by the Disclosure and Barring Service along with other relevant employement checks.Applications will be considered in the order in which they are received and the advert will close early if the right candidate is found.
