Site Based role – We have projects in the East Coast, Central Belt, Borders, Glasgow, Ayrshire & Dumfries and Galloway.
Salary up to £55,000 per year, with a strong benefits package - plus Overtime available (further details below)
37-hour basic week

As Site Manager within our Transmission business within Energy Networks you will be part of a department responsible for the construction of new build, replacement, refurbishment or other associated major transmission projects.
You will enjoy being part of a multi-disciplined delivery team that includes Construction Managers, Project Managers, HSQE consultants, Quantity Surveyor & Design Engineers responsible for planning and delivering major construction projects.
As the primary on-site representative, you will feel confident in having on-site ownership and providing technical support and advice primarily in relation to electrical aspects of construction stages for transmission projects.
What you’ll be doing
With your experience in managing transmission construction projects, including Contractor Site management you will be confident at monitoring and managing contractor’s works, tracking
progress, keeping
accurate site records ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
You will have technical Knowledge and experience in quality control and inspection and testing of structure and main plant installation e.g Grid TX’s, Auxiliary Earthing Transformers, CB’s, PI, CVT, CT’s, SA, ES, Pantographs & Disconnector’s.
We will also look for you to have Experience in cable installation, glanding and terminating, protection & control systems, telecoms, earthing, mechanical and electrical
interlocking/testing.

You enjoy, and are focused, on leading a team in a contractor’s environment, and your excellent negotiation and influencing skills will be a great attribute to the team.
If you have the following experience that we are looking for, then we want to hear from you:
Experience in managing transmission construction projects
Experience as a Site Manager preferably with experience of carrying out duties
associated
the
Principal Contractor role managing multiple contractors
Ability to understand electrical design drawings, circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams and all inspection and testing
Awareness of NEC conditions of contract
Proficient with IT and software packages such as Microsoft office
Prior experience of working in a live Substation environment working under electrical safety rules.
Holds SMSTS, or equivalent safety training.
Full First Aid certification
Clean Driving Licence
Overtime payments:
Monday - Saturday (8am till midnight) - Time and a Half
Monday - Saturday (midnight to 8am) - Double Time
Sunday - Double Time (all hours)
Overtime is not mandatory.
