They are currently looking to recruit a permanent Site Maintenance Engineer - ManufacturingThe role: Under minimal supervision perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. Maintain and improve facilities.Site Maintenance Engineer - Manufacturing responsibilities:Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipmentProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine servicePerform simple machinist duties and responsibilitiesPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machinesRead and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceManage external contractors carrying out maintenance work on site - induction, permit-to-work, monitoring performanceIdentify improvements to buildings, services and equipment - carry out design, fabrication, installation and commissioning work within scope of capabilitiesDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustmentsPerform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functionsUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing dutiesDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisionAssist Health & Safety with statutory inspections and regulatory complianceComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areasPerform all other duties as assigned or needed.Track and maintain electronic records on all maintenance and repairs to machines and facilityRequest Purchase orders from purchasing department for materials requiredSource new suppliers for maintenance services or productsControl maintenance budget and spendingReport and maintain repairs and projects in internal electronic systemsDirect and delegate workload to maintenance personnelSite Maintenance Engineer - Manufacturing requirements:Experience in multi-skilled maintenance workExperience in organising & dealing with contractorsExperience in electrical workExperience in plumbing and water system maintenanceAble to manage own workload and work without supervisionPlease apply with a copy of your CV in the first instance.CPDaventryThe Recruitment Co. is an equal opportunities employer and we're committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace
