Ridgeway & Co are�actively recruiting a Site Engineer on behalf of a prominent main contractor for a brand new new commercial development project in Stevenage.
Role Overview:
As a Site Engineer, you will report directly to the Senior Engineer and collaborate closely to maintain high standards, ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting Out: Manage setting out at various build stages, including foundations, earthworks, fa�ade, and internal layouts.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect and verify subcontractors' work, maintaining a daily log of progress for each subcontractor.
- Project Management: Oversee all construction phases from substructure to superstructure, including landscaping.
- Communication: Attend weekly management meetings and coordinate with Site Clerks, Quantity Surveyors, and Health Safety Officers.
- Instrument Proficiency: Utilize EDM, rotating laser levels, and other instruments for as-built surveys, QA, and snagging.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient with construction management software, particularly Procore, and adept with tablets/android devices for on-site QA recording.
- IT Skills: Competent with Microsoft Office, emails, and other software programs.
- Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of design, drawings, details, and specifications.
- Construction Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of substructure, drainage, and utilities.
- Progress Monitoring: Prepare for daily and weekly progress meetings, providing updates on work status and identifying any delays.

Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5�years as a Site Engineer.
- Education: Engineering Degree/Diploma or related qualification.
