Job Summary:
The client is embarking on significant capital investment across EMEA with particular activity at it's EMEA HQ in central London. The Project Support Office (for which this role will be part of) established in the London campus is designed to coordinate project activity on site, identify and mitigate building impact and risk and ensuring building user satisfaction whilst works take place. The team provides integration from all client service lines delivering work to ensure critical services are maintained and minimal disruption to the lines of business.
The Site Construction Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the building impact, daily contractor activity (and associated tasks) and to ensure co-ordination and communication to all key stakeholders is managed to the existing processes and standards. The role will also be responsible for co-ordinating all PSO QHSE requirements in line with local regulations and support the PSO lead in weekly and monthly reporting.
Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of all project contractors in the London site,
providing oversight, leadership and effective management of external contractors, logistics, project master
programme and act as the single point of contact for the PM, FM, Engineering and the bank's direct
vendors.
Create & maintain routine PSO reports, including status reports and update high level integrated
programme.
Provide OOH support when required to meet business needs.
Provide a safe and healthy work environment with responsibility for EHS compliance for both CBRE and supplier partners.
o Accident Investigations
o Ensure the Permit to work process is completed for new contractors.
o Weekly and routine inspections, Safety Triangle and Hazard reporting.
Provide contractors and BAU with general engineering support as required and in emergencies.
Technical review and oversight of engineering assets; and assist at all stages of commissioning,
witnessing, snagging and handover of all new facilities, systems, and assets.
To ensure alignment of works between Project and BAU activities.
To review RAMS for project activities with a view on business impact (risk) and engineering system
resilience with multiple work front activities taking place simultaneously.
Site safety checks and periodic audits
Collaborate with key stakeholders to execute successful project implementation and delivery
including management of personnel on site, QHSE matters (including issuance of permits, and
management of sub-contractors)
Liaise and keep informed the senior management on all aspects of contract problems and regularly
update on all engineering issues.
Effectively communicates challenges and support to provide pragmatic solutions.
Oversee site activities across a programme of projects and monitor the project schedule.
Provision of strong upward and downward communications within the team.
Manage the daily huddle to co- ordinate site activities, ensuring teams are working safely and
efficiently.
Essential Skills:
Strong knowledge of MEP engineering assets within critical and non-critical environments.
Outstanding contractor management skills
Excellent client facing skills
A proven problem solver
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Outlook, MS Project.
Has experience on projects in live office environment.
General management skill set, knowledge of both people management and physical property
management delivery capable of evaluating risk quickly and providing decisive direction to resolve
situations and problems.
Self-motivation and working under pressure to balance conflicting deadlines is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven relationship management abilities
Results oriented - ability to achieve business goals, with a concern for working well, surpassing standards
of excellence and passion for challenges.
Customer focussed - develop strong customer relationships by listening to and satisfying customer needs.

Qualifications / Experience / Professional Memberships:
All relevant site management safety certification
At least 5 years of progressive experience in business and property management with a proven track record
in business growth and development for a large and complex client
Knowledge of engineering electrical and mechanical disciplines both within Critical and non-critical
environments
Knowledge of project management within critical and non-critical environments
Solid experience in customer relationship management and with dealing with supplier
partners/contractors.
Membership of an IFM related professional body i.e. RICS/BIFM, CIBSE, IEE.
