Rate: £450 – 500 per shift

Long Term contract opportunity

My client has an opportunity for an ambitious and talented Agent to work for a major project in Huddersfiled. This is a chance for an individual to join a progressive company on a major.
 

Responsibilities:

• Ensure work is executed in a safe manner meeting legal guidelines set out in health safety and requirements and environmental compliance.
• Coordinating utilities and environmental requirements.
• Stations heavy refurbs, new lifts footbridge, platform extensions subway infills.
• Day to day management of a section of works including the supervision and monitoring of the site team and supply chain.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
• Safety / Quality / Programme and Production.
• Manage multiple packages of work in conjunction with the commercial team taking full ownership of the costs for section of work assigned.
• Manage site activities to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
• Review Method Statements and Risk Assessments and make improvements as appropriate;
• Guide and coach subordinates in technical requirements and techniques of setting out;
• Deliver product to customer satisfaction.
• Managing some of the temporary works.
• Implement appropriate policies and procedures.
• Promote best practice amongst engineering staff and encourage their career progression.
• Ensure works are completed on time, within budget and to specification.
• Develop and promote best practice and business improvement within the organisation.

Requirements:

• Previously worked on heavy Civil based projects.
• Worked within the rail sector.
• identifying long lead procurement items, tracking / management of designs.
• Experience with Tier 1 contractor is a preference.
• Previous experience working as an Agent or similar positions.
• Previously managed site teams & packages of work.
• Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent).
• Holds relevant tickets/qualifications. i.e. CSCS.
