Shift Team Leader – Energy from WasteCirca £60,000 + 15% bonus + benefitsStaffordshireMC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Shift Team Leader to join the operations department of an Energy from Waste Power Station just north of Wolverhampton in Staffordshire. This plant processes around 340,000 tonnes of waste per year generating 23MW for the grid. The Shift Team Leader will be responsible for directing and managing the shift team effectively to ensure the site meets its operational targets in a safe and efficient manner.As a Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for: Supervising a team of Shift Operators and and Outside Operators ensuring efficient operation the power stationOperating and monitoring the plant via DCS from the control room making adjustments accordinglyEnsuring the plant is operating in line with the sites environmental permitManaging the safe systems of work as a site SAP for issuing permits and HV switching dutiesManaging shift team resources to ensure effective training and development of operational staffLiaising with the maintenance department when required to ensure minimum downtime and maximum operational availabilityCarrying out all activities with the highest regard for health and safetyTo be considered for this role you should have: Experience at Shift Team Leader / Shift Manager / Production Team Leader level or similar in a continuous process facility involving the generation of high pressure team. This could be energy from waste, biomass, CCGT, refinery etcIdeally experience as a Senior Authorised Person and experience with HV switching dutiesA relevant engineering qualification such as HNC/ONC/NVQ etcExperience with coordinating and supervising work activities including shift staff and site contractorsAn adaptable approach to working routines and willingness to work on a shift pattern that involves 12-hour shiftsSalary & benefits:This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading business within the energy from waste sector.
