Location: South Marston Industrial EstateSalary: £24,000 per yearWorking Days / Hours: 4 on / 4 off (includes weekends on a rota basis) from 6:00pm to 6:00amContract: PermanentAbout the role:We are excited to announce that we are currently expanding our team and looking for individuals to join us as Shift Supervisors at our Big Blue location in Swindon as permanent members of the team.Reporting to the Shift Manager, as the Shift Supervisor, you will lead and develop your Warehouse Operatives on shift. You will focus on process adherence with the overall aim of increasing efficiency and quality, whilst simultaneously reducing the impact on the environment.At Oxwash, we're committed to revolutionising the laundry industry, and we believe that our team is at the heart of everything we do. So why not join us today and become a part of the Oxwash washing revolution! Key Responsibilities:Safety: You will be responsible for your own safety and that of the people around you. You will be responsible for ensuring the use of PPE where appropriate and for the reporting of all accidents, incidents and near misses to the Shift Manager. Leadership and team development: Support the Shift Manager with the training of new hires, existing colleagues and the continuous up-skilling of the team. Responsible for leading the more complex tasks in the lagoon as assigned by the Shift Manager. Act as a proxy for the Shift Manager when they are unavailable. Be a person to provide general support to junior staff such as support on technical questions to do with processing. Inventory: You will be responsible for reporting low stock of consumables, any missing items, and any maintenance issues to the Shift Manager / Maintenance Technician.Operations: You will be responsible for taking a senior role within the processing team, escalating issues to the Shift Manager when necessary.Quality and customer experience: You will be responsible for ensuring all items processed by yourself and the Warehouse Operatives meet the stringent quality requirements. Supporting the Commercial team with customer queries about orders. You must take personal ownership of all tasks you complete and ensure they are carried out to the defined standards. Key Relationships:
Shift Manager: You will report to our Shift Manager, who is responsible for team’s operation. They will support your execution, sponsor key projects and foster your development. They are accountable for all delivery in your wheelhouse.
Revenue Operations: You will work alongside the Revenue Operations and Account Manager team to manage customer complaints and escalations from an operations perspective, reduce churn and revenue loss. Key Qualities & CompetenciesTechnical competency You may have Lean operation/manufacturing knowledge - foster the lean methodology and drive improvements within your colleagues on shift. You will have a working H&S knowledge. Technology, automation and Innovation You have a base knowledge of computer systems in order to learn how to operate the internal systems used at Oxwash. You have the ability to understand data to aid in finding the route cause of issues. You also have a good understanding of numbers in order to count items on ingress and invoice items accurately.
