This is an opportunity to develop your leadership skills further in a well-rounded opportunity with a well known and respected manufacturing facility in St Helens. We are looking for someone who has worked in a plastics environment such as injection moulding or packaging.

The Role-

• Utilise their leadership skills to manage a team of operators and will delegate their day to day tasks.


• Implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet customer requirements.


• A handover will take place at the beginning and the end of each shift to understand what has happened and what is needed during the next shift.


• Check production samples to ensure the quality and conformance.


• Be proactive with problem solving to sure that issues are resolved effectively.


• Work to minimize downtime and maximize output, ensuring the effective running of production.


• This manager will need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels including on the shop floor and in management meetings, with customers and suppliers where needed.


• Monitor KPIs including waste, materials, production, and quality.

The Person-

• We are looking for someone who has leadership experience and has managed a teams day to day tasks.


• Must be able to work nights and day shifts.


• You must have worked in a plastic manufacturing environment such as injection moulding or packaging and have some understanding of processes.


• We are looking for a leader with a personable approach, engaging and friendly.


• Understanding of QC processes and checking conformity of the product against customer specifications.


• Either experience gained in a manufacturing environment or HNC, HND or degree qualified in engineering/ manufacturing.
