MONDAY TO FRIDAY - NO WEEKENDS!

ROTATIONAL 6AM - 2PM & 2PM - 10PM SHIFTS

Recruit Mint have partnered with a global third-party logistics company that is expanding their UK operation with a brand-new purpose-built warehouse in Biggleswade. You will be joining their new flagship warehouse at the very start of implementation, so this is truly a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager. As a Shift Manager you will be responsible for managing both permanent and temporary workers ensuring that service level agreements are met.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:


  • To plan, organise, manage, and take full responsibility of departments within your designated shift.
  • Ensuring operational efficiencies, service levels, people management and weekly targets are met in line with the service level agreement.
  • Delivering and documenting continuous improvement opportunities across the departments' systems and processes.
  • Be responsible and take ownership for your teams performance, ensure regular reviews and 121 meetings of Team Leaders takes place to drive performance, commercial and operational improvements.
  • Strong administration skills, ensuring all work is captured and invoiced including creating/managing/reviewing site documentation (SOPs, KPIs and H&S) and ensuring all relevant monthly/yearly checks are actioned and recorded correctly.
  • Deliver all forms of communication including briefs, management meetings, visual aids, and performance boards.
  • Monitor compliance in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Champion a safe working environment, ensures Health & Safety is adhered to across the site and on all shifts.

Key Skills:

  • Managerial know-how in people management and development
  • Supply chain knowledge
  • Knowledge of ISO standards audit requirements and application
  • Knowledge of HR policies and company Procedures
  • Leading and deciding

  • Familiarity with JDA or similar Warehouse Management Systems
