Shift Engineer - Leeds

Here at Futures, we have an exciting opportunity available for a Shift Engineer for a Yorkshire based Packaging manufacturing business. ****PANNAMA SHIFT PATTERN DAYS/NIGHTS**** Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will take responsibility for both proactive and reactive maintenance duties within this fast paced production environment. As a key member of the Engineering team, you will share responsibility for achieving budgeted machine performance targets and ensuring the machines are kept running to peak performance within the manufacturing unit Key responsibilities; Daily plant inspections, monitoring plant performanceYou will need to facilitate a speedy response to all plant stoppages and plan/implement modifications to new and existing equipmentCarrying out fault finding diagnosis/repairs on equipment and plantYou will have to ensure the PPM schedules are maintained in accordance with the current requirementsContinuous Improvement – identify new methods and proceduresEnsure accurate & timely records are entered / recorded of all work carried out, root causes of failures and of spares / consumables used Successful Multi Skilled Shift Engineers will be; Previous experience of working within a FMCG manufacturing environmentTime served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an Electrical Engineering HND / HNC / BTech / ONC / C&G Level 3 qualifications or higherDegree / HND or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering17th Edition City & Guilds (Desirable)Excellent communication skillsWorking well under pressure Why work here?
