Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced SHEQ Manager to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality management within our organisation.Position Overview:You will focus on leading initiatives focusing on safety cultures and behaviours, engaging, and educating, having real conversations as well as advocating for Safety, Health and Environment at management level. This role will keep you on your toes and has a lot of elements to it. Here is a flavour of what you'll be doing day to day:
* Providing strategic direction and guidance to the SLT and operational colleagues to ensure the company achieves its HSEQ mission and objectives.
* Promoting a positive health and safety culture across the business, seeking best practice at every opportunity.
* Developing and managing the annual Health, Safety and Environment plan including social responsibilities and objectives.
* Delivering and maintaining full compliance of quality standards, namely ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001.
* Keeping updated with key changes to legislation to ensure compliance for both SHEQ and Fleet industry.
* Developing and delivering audit plans to ensure SHEQ compliance on all facets of the EMC business.
* Developing working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, and ensures EMC adheres to all regulations.
* Conducting incident investigation to identify root cause and delivering on recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
* Examining existing and new systems of work to identify any flaws or training requirements necessary to improve culture.
* Working with Group SHEQ to deliver on high level initiatives for the business.To be successful in this role:
* Professional certification in SHEQ management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor) is highly desirable.
* Strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations.
* Proven experience in a similar role with field and workshop, fleet, and transport bias.
* Excellent communications skills with the ability to influence, tailor messages and communicate succinctly to a range of stakeholders.
* Committed to delivering high standards of customer service.
* Ability to prioritise own and team's workload and work under pressure to strict deadlinesWhat we offer in return:
