Due to growth and an increase in workload, an experienced SHEQ Manager is sought to join the project team of this expanding Civil Engineering contractor with offices across Devon & Cornwall. As an organisation, they currently operate across Highways, Infrastructure, Bridges, Flood Defence and Water sectors so they are able to offer a great variety of workload. The Role: As a diligent and proactive SHEQ Manager, you will be required to work with the project team, based on a large scale civil engineering scheme in Cornwall. Leading the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental functions, duties will include: Performing site inspections and internal auditsIdentify risks and implement processes and policies where requiredProvide progress reports to the senior management team on safety goals and intentionsDeliver high quality accident investigation reportsPromote a positive Health and Safety culture and whilst increasing the environmental awareness within the wider teamProvide training & guidance to site teams and other staff members where required and appropriateApplicants will have: Previous H & S Management experience with a recognised main contractorA proven track record and knowledge within the construction industryA high standard and keen eye for detail around H & S and qualityStrong management and leadership skills with the ability to build and develop good relationships with project teamsUp to date understanding and knowledge of legislation of H & S, Environmental & QualityHold in date, recognised H & S qualifications including NEBOSHOrganised and efficient with excellent IT skillsThe company offers variety of workload with a strong local presence and long term security.
