PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Civil Engineering and Utilities Sectors to recruit a SHEQ Manager to Lead their Health and Safety team on a permanent basis. This role with be based in the North West of England and involves work within the Gas/Utilities Sector.
SHEQ Manager Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage a team of SHEQ Advisors to support projects in the delivery of the companies Health, Safety and Environmental strategy.
- Ensure managers assume full responsibility for the discharge of responsibilities, associated with their normal activities.
- Conduct travel required across England, Scotland and Wales, providing operational teams and SHE advisors with the advice and guidance.
- Act as a single point of contact for advice and expertise on Health & Safety matters to the project teams to ensure the effectiveness of the Construction Phase Plans during the lifecycle of the project.
- Undertake reviews of documentation, participate in site safety meetings, H&S Audits & Sensible Monitoring Inspections on gas projects.
- Provide monthly H&S data & safety stats to Directors as needed, along with monthly SHE performance bulletin and send this out to the business.
SHEQ Manager Requirements
- Diploma (or equivalent) in Health & Safety and or considerable relevant Gas & Water industry experience
- 5 years of experience working within a senior SHEQ position
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry such as Gas, Rail, Power Overhead lines is advantageous.
- Must have CMIOSH
- Membership of a safety or environmental professional body or engineering institute to incorporated or chartered level.
- Current full UK driving license
