Job Title: SHEQ Compliance Officer Location: Burnley (Hybrid) Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Car Allowance, Bonus
The Company: We are delighted to be partnering with FTSE 100 national distribution business in their search for a SHEQ Compliance Officer. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days on-site initially.
The Role: You will be part of a successful Audit, Risk & Compliance team responsible for maintaining effective management systems and conducting internal audits for Safety, Environment, & Quality Management. Working closely with the DC operations teams and other internal departments you will be the business partner for all SHEQ related activities with a particular focus on safety and risk within a fast-paced operation. The business has an ambitious pipeline of projects that you will play a lead role in delivering. You will be required to create and implement a robust internal audit system, ensuring the business is always audit ready whilst supporting the road map to achieve ISO 14001 and 45001 accreditations. We are looking for someone who promotes a positive culture of safety and compliance and can build strong relationships across a variety of internal departments at all levels.
Experience required: This role would be suitable for a SHEQ Manager or an Audit & Compliance professional with experience of working with safety and quality management systems such as BSI / ISO. Some additional requirements include;
Qualification in occupational Health & Safety, such as a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. Experience of auditing BSI / ISO management systems being a registered Lead Auditor would be a distinct advantage but is not an essential requirement. Thorough understanding of the application of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 within a fast-paced logistics, engineering, or manufacturing environment. A proven record of stakeholder management at all levels with the ability to engage teams in changing processes.
The Package:
Salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum Car Allowance 24 Holidays, plus Bank Holidays 5% Pension contribution Life Assurance Additional employee benefits such as retail benefits, cycle to work scheme etc.
