Job Description
SHEQ Advisor – Essex
We are looking for a SHEQ Advisor with construction experience to work for a business delivering a number of major projects linked to critical national infrastructure.
Experience
NEBOSH General or Construction certificate
Knowledge and experience of CDM Regulations
Background as a Safety Advisor in a construction environment (Utilities experience desirable)
Demonstrated high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example and promoting a positive safety culture
Able to manage potential conflict during site inspections with operational teams
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Full driving licence and willingness to travel
Duties
Conduct site inspections to monitor direct employees and sub-contractors
Provide expert advice on e.g. risk assessments, risk management, fire safety, CDM regulations, hazardous substances, noise and machinery
Be the point of contact for external bodies including the Health and Safety Executive, Clients and other stakeholders as directed by the SHEQ Manager
Support incident management & investigation process
Delivery of training to operatives and new starters
Location – Essex – Regionwide travel
