Your new role
As a SHEQ consultant, you will be playing a vital part in the growth of the health and safety department as well as maintaining current client expectations. You will be playing a vital part in the growth of the health and safety department as well as maintaining current client expectations.
Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Performing in an advisory capacity to a portfolio of clients, in accordance with relevant Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality regulations/standards and clients' own Policy and Procedures;
  • Developing integrated Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality procedures;
  • Ensuring best practice and compliance with relevant legislation using audit, inspection, investigation and other suitable techniques to develop action plans to benchmark client's performance and work with them to target improvements;
  • Develop SHEQ action plans, targeting the highest risk areas and assigning roles and responsibilities to ensure delivery of the plan;
  • Reporting and advising on regulatory changes and standards and keeping documentation up to date and relevant;
  • Working on long term and short term projects (some of which may be overseas);
  • Conducting accident/incident investigations and producing suitable reports;
  • Acting as the client's professional representative and attending any meetings that relate to our services;
  • Working with clients to achieve certification to standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001;
  • Developing new business and contacts.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Possession of recognised qualifications i.e. IOSH membership, or relevant degree; Internal Auditor;
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation and communicating skills;
  • Ability to adapt communication to all levels;
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness;
  • Good experience, knowledge and understanding of various industries and sectors.
