Sheet Metal Worker Required!

Our client is an established engineering company providing fine limit sheet metal fabrications to a variety of industry sectors including electronics, medical, telecommunications, retail, and vending.

Our strong reputation with our existing client base has been built around offering design support, quality products and high levels of customer service.

Due to ongoing success, they're looking to recruit a Skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a driven individual with an excellent attitude towards work and have experience working within a sheet metal environment.

(Sheet Metal Worker) - Position Overview

• Accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate sheet metal components with precision.
• Operate a variety of specialised tools and equipment such as brake press, welding machines and drills.
• Inspecting finished productions to ensure they meet quality standards and conform to the specifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment.
• Liaise with colleagues, management, and stakeholders to discuss project requirements, provide progress updates, and address any issues.

(Sheet Metal Worker) - Position Requirements

• Good working knowledge of fine limit fabrication and Sheet metal methods.
• Experience in using a guillotine, brake press, spot welder, deburring, drills, and other sheet metal manufacturing equipment.
• Experience in dressing components and assemblies after being welded.
• Ability to read and understand 3rd angle engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

(Sheet Metal Worker) - Position Remuneration

• Normal working hours: 07:30am - 16:00pm - Monday to Friday (40 hrs per week)
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Hourly rate �12.50 to �14.00 per hour depending on experience
