Sheet Metal Operative

Forde Recruitment, a leading provider of industrial staff in South Yorkshire, are currently looking for a Sheet Metal Operative for their client in Sheffield.

Sheet Metal Operative Duties:

• Conducting manufacturing functions from start to finish


• Develop and fabricate items including but not limited to lobster backed bends, elbows, tee pieces, reducers, square to rounds, vessel dome heads, valve and flange boxes


• Conducting quality assurance checks


• Cleaning the work area to ensure a clean and tidy environment is maintained


• Completing visual inspections of equipment and machinery


• Working with the Fabrication Technical Team Leader to develop skills and knowledge


• Providing support to Fabrication Facility Supervisor when required

Suitable Sheet Metal operative will have:

• City & Guilds Sheet Metal Fabrication or equivalent


• Good organisational skill


• Good communication skill


• Manual handling skills

It is desirable that candidates have a full, UK driving licence.
