SHEA Advisor

SHEA Advisor required for a large contract in Norfolk area working on national grid pipelines and transmission sites. We are looking for a strong SHEA Advisor who has extensive experience in civil engineering, pipeline works, National Grid sites and similar. This role is a freelance/contract role and will be limited company or CIS, paid on day rate, starting asap. There is potential long term work or temp to perm for the right candidate. Any certification (EUSR etc) and experience with working with similar companies would be very favourable. 

The role will involve:

• Working to create, manage and distribute SHEQ documents to the  team


• Working with the Head of Sheq to generate reporting packs on SHEQ indicators


• Site inspections and audits across sites to national grid standards


• Working with the SHEQ Manager to undertake accident investigations where neccesary


• Assisting the training team in course development and creating site specific training content


• Assisting the SHEQ Manager with the administration of all SHEQ operations


• Working closely with the Site Management team to ensure SHEQ values are adhered to 


• Working with Regional SHEQ Managers to act as a point of contact for various operational needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong SHEQ background within civil engineering


• Experience with National Grid projects


• Experience working with varied teams across heavy civils and linking them together


• IOSH, NEBOSH or similar H & S qualification, CSCS card and EUSR card
