Sewing Machinist

We are working with a company in the South Birmingham area, that has a steep history with the royal family, the armed forces and beyond! Due to continued business growth, they are looking to expand their team with a Sewing Machinist.

No experience is required, just a keen attention to detail and the hunger for success!

Benefits:

• Salary: �22,000 per annum
• Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:30am to 17:00pm
• One Saturday in the month, 8.30am to 12.00pm
• 28 Days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)

Duties and responsibilities:

• Expertly mount medals using various techniques, ensuring they are securely and aesthetically affixed to the mounting material.
• Adhere to specific guidelines and standards for the arrangement and spacing of medals.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on each mounted medal to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Address any issues related to alignment, spacing, or damage promptly.
• Work efficiently to meet deadlines and ensure timely delivery of mounted medals to customers.
• Framing
• Sewing (hand & machine sewing)
• Administration duties

Skills and experience required:

• Proven experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Be able to work from specifications.
• Confident
• Work well under pressure and be up for a challenge.
