Job Title: Sewerage Treatment Plans (STP) Lead



Location: South West and London

Reporting to: Regional Operations Director



Overview: Aster is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sewerage Treatment Plans (STP) Lead to join our Customer Services team. As the STP Lead, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the management of Aster's STP portfolio, ensuring the seamless integration of services, maintenance, and long-term sustainability strategies across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Lead the management of servicing, works, and maintenance contracts to ensure compliance with performance standards, customer satisfaction, and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop individual Overview and Action Plans for each STP site, including long-term investment strategies for sustainable solutions.

  • Implement a Customer Engagement Strategy to enhance relationships and align with site-specific action plans.

  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance, taking corrective action as needed to uphold contract standards.

  • Manage STP contractors in accordance with Aster's policies and ensure compliance with Approved Supplier List checks.

  • Lead the appointment, deployment, and management of technical specialists involved in the STP management process.

  • Apply commercial principles to optimize the management and performance of the STP portfolio, ensuring best value for customers and Aster.

  • Collaborate with other managers and service leads to align STP initiatives with organizational objectives.

  • Review and enhance servicing and work programs to meet evolving requirements and drive continuous improvement.

  • Support procurement processes and contribute to the preparation of tender documents.

  • Provide accurate management information and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with audit requirements.

  • Uphold Aster's values and model behaviour consistent with organizational standards.

  • Take ownership of personal development, staying updated on legislative changes and best practices relevant to the role.



Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related technical field.

  • Formal technical qualification in a relevant discipline preferred.

  • Proven experience in planning, setting, and monitoring budgets.

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing people.

  • Demonstrated expertise in contract and performance management within property safety or asset management.

  • Knowledge of legislative requirements in the social housing sector.

  • Experience in managing procurement processes and understanding financial and contractual considerations.

  • Proficiency in using digital solutions/software to monitor and evidence performance.

  • Familiarity with service charge principles.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.

  • Flexibility to travel locally, regionally, and nationally as required, including some overnight stays.

  • Valid UK driving license with own transport.
