Role Overview: My client are seeking a skilled and motivated Setting Out Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and precise setting out for highways and utilities projects related to HS2. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within the organisation as they take on exciting new projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently carry out setting out tasks using GPS and Total Station equipment.
• Collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure accurate alignment and positioning.
• Complete Quality Assurance (QA) paperwork in compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in drafting Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) documentation.
• Contribute to the successful execution of highways and utilities works.

Requirements:

• Self-driven and hardworking individual who can work independently under instruction.
• Proven experience and competence in setting out using GPS and Total Station technology (high importance).
• Familiarity with QA paperwork processes.
• Ability to understand and draft HSE paperwork.

Advantageous Skills:

• Previous experience in highways or utilities projects.
• Familiarity with HS2 works.
• Knowledge of machine or excavator GPS/SPS control systems.
