We are looking for counsellors or psychotherapists that are available to work weekdays or weekends, who can work at least one day per week, mornings or evenings (minimum 4 sessions).This is a sessional contract position where you provide one-to-one counselling sessions to adults (18+) via an online platform. Administration support is provided to help with session bookings, emails, initial assessments and client liaison between sessions. It is through working together effectively that we offer a safe, secure and smoothly run business for our clients. We expect you to offer a 60-minute space for each session.It is essential that you have access to excellent wifi connection as all sessions will be conducted online. In addition, it is required that you have access to a second method of communication (e.g. telephone, phone data) for clients, should connection via wifi not be made.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES– to provide face-to-face counselling sessions online– to have excellent verbal and written communication– to work ethically within BACP or UKCP guidelines– to work autonomously and have regular clinical supervision– to write case notes in line with AST Psychotherapy procedures– to liaise with management as appropriateQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE– Level 5 or a degree in counselling or psychotherapy (minimum)– Member of a recognised professional body (BACP / UKCP)– At least 100 one-to-one client hours (face-to-face or online)– 2 years experience (preferred)– Qualifications and experience to work with adults (18+)BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH US AND WHAT WE OFFER– Weekly payment– Generous holiday allowance and compassionate leave (if needed)– Remote working– Free access to online platforms for AST Psychotherapy clients– Management supervision for continued support and growth within the field– Ongoing support with administrative dutiesDISCLOSURE & BARRING SERVICE CHECKIt will be necessary for the applicant to already hold, or be willing to apply for a Disclosure andBarring Service check, to check for any previous criminal convictions.
