Service Operations Manager

HES Catering are part of the HES Education Services Team delivering meals to over 50 schools within the Borough of Havering and an opportunity for the right person with a background in Catering, preferably from Education to join a small but dynamic team, looking to grow the School meals service within both Havering and the M25 area.
As the Service Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our schools and service run smoothly and helping to deliver truly incredible service to our schools, reporting into the Catering Services Manager.
The role requires the following knowledge/experience

Multi-site experience within Contract Catering or Local Authority ideally within Education.
Great understanding of the clients needs through building strong professional relationships.
Strong financial acumen to ensure cost effective delivery of the service in one of the most challenging catering sectors.
Demonstrate strong motivational skills by leading by example approach.
A passion to deliver high quality meals to our pupils and staff.
Manage and inspire a workforce of over 250 employees including three experienced Area Catering Managers.
Strong knowledge of both School Food Standards and Food for Life.
This is a key strategic role within both the Catering Service and the wider HES Traded Services, the successful candidate will influence how the service delivers school meals in the future.
