A highly rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to join our dynamic, friendly team in Northallerton!
The post is to start at the beginning of September to oversee two supported living services in Northallerton.
You will be responsible for managing a dedicated team of Support Workers as well as a team of Relief Staff that provide support to the people within our services.
The people we support have varying needs that they need support everyday with and for you to be able to support the team to achieve the goals each person has in line with our values.
No day will be the same as the people we support all have varying interests and hobbies – this variety of care clearly shows the need for person centred care, something we hold ourselves to.
The suitable candidate will ensure that our services reach the highest possible standards in terms of quality and cost effectiveness - in this way, you will help us to meet needs of the people we support and encourage real involvement and influence in what we do. You will need to be computer literate and have experience managing in care. Self-motivation, determination, confidence, passion for positive change and an ability to make difficult decisions under pressure are also key to this role.
Key Responsibilities: Quality, Leadership and Relationships
Work with the people living in the service and the team to ensure high-quality person-centred support
Monitor the quality of the service, ensuring it is fully compliant.
Be an exemplary role model for the team and ensure their continuous development to ensure high standards are continuously met
Liaise with the families and other stakeholders of the people living in the service
You will need to be flexible with the days you are able to work, as you may need to work an early, late or some weekend work depending on the service needs, also to be part of the manager ‘on call’ system, also to be able to cover for two other service managers in the area when on leave.
