We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join a team of skilled engineers based in Rochdale specialising in turnkey systems for the manufacture of a wide range of products.



You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the installation teams, handling spare parts inquiries, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and departmental procedures.



What’s on offer?




  • £38,000 - £43,000 per year

  • Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm / Friday 8:30am – 2:00pm

  • Unlimited overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)

  • 31 days holiday (rising by 2 days for 5 years)

What will you be doing as a Service Engineer?




  •  Carrying out service and calibration work on food and confectionary process systems as required by the business, including working away from home on client sites in the UK and worldwide

  • Assisting in fielding and progressing emails and phone calls regarding the supply of spare parts as required

  • Providing additional support to installation teams, including site wiring, modifications, testing, and commissioning

  • Ensuring adherence to all departmental procedures and company health and safety systems, and utilising any issued PPE or safety-related equipment as required

  • Following specific customer site rules at all times



What do you need?




  • Electrical bias with mechanical skills being advantageous

  • Advanced modern apprenticeship or equivalent qualification

  • HNC in Electrical Electronic Engineering (minimum ONC)

  • Knowledge and experience with PLCs

  • Ability in electrical and mechanical fault finding and providing solutions

  • Flexible approach to work

  • Willingness to work regular overtime and weekends

  • Experience in the food industry is beneficial but not essential

  • Proficiency with Windows OS including Office applications
