Service Engineer

BASIC SALARY: Up to £35,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer - Air Compressors, Industrial, Engineering

We’re experts in Air Compressors, and we’ll ensure you become a specialist as well. You’ll mostly be out in the field supporting our customers, but you’ll also be based in our workshop recommissioning and stripping down the equipment we hold here.

As our Service Engineer you’ll be:
· Utilising your mechanical and electrical experience to fault find, provide PPM and breakdown support to our customers compressors and carry out installation works
· Carrying out energy saving surveys and leak detection projects
· Travelling to customer sites within the territory – roughly within 60 miles of our office
· Taking an active lead in supporting and mentoring our Junior Engineers
· Available for 24 hour call out on rotation alongside our other Field Service Engineers.

You’re going to be the face of our business, so we need you to be a customer focused Service Engineer and a good people person.

You’ll also have:
· A rounded technical background covering mechanical and electrical. Whether you learned on the job or have recognised qualifications, we don’t mind
· Aspirations to become a manager within our Service team
· The ability to become an expert in our niche Air Compressor industry
· Great communication skills to build relationships with your colleagues and customers

You’re the expert in our business when it comes to fault finding and ideally, you’ll have experience working with air compressors. However, any types of compressors, pumps or generators will be sufficient.
