Job DescriptionDo you want to work for a busy family run automotive organisation who have maintained business levels throughout the pandemic? Our client is a highly reputable and forward thinking manufacturing organisation. Being especially customer-focussed, our client is principally involved with the after sales activities that encompasses servicing, spare parts, contracts, long and short term rental, reporting and new equipment commissioning.The RoleThe Role will be responsible to the Operations Manager and will be varied. Given the dynamic nature of the service department, daily agendas can change very quickly so time-management and the ability to prioritise is essential. The role includes, but is not limited, to the following:-Receive incoming service requests and despatching of technical engineersArrange spare parts shipments to coincide with arrival of engineers and for return visitsArrange ancillary equipment as directed by the engineer / Operations ManagementOversee time sheets to ensure working hours are reflected through to salaries and all overtime approved.Liaise with suppliers (oils, access platforms, engine suppliers) for assistance and/or labour resourceManage Company's own fleet of rental machinesLiaise with customers for booking-in routine servicingManage engineer vehicles and replacements, uniforms and PPECover for Operations Manager in absence of holidays or customer visitsIssue reports from operating system on requestEnsure Company operations are kept compliantMaintain the profitability of the CompanyKeep records of Company training and highlight training shortcomingsTo take out-of-hours calls from customers and to despatch engineers out-of-hours, if required.The Company operates a dedicated software programme (Protean) - Full training will be provided both in-house and also, if required, externallyThe PersonMust be an excellent communicator - especially over the telephoneWill have a friendly 'can-do' attitude and make customers feel comfortable that their issue will be sortedTechnical competency is not essential but the candidate would be capable of logical thought processesWill have a degree of commercial awareness and the need to achieve jobs on or below budgetWill be very customer-focussed and will keep his/her promisesHave strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)In return the successful candidate can expect to receive; Full training25 days holidayPension SchemeLength of service awardsHours; 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday Free Parking (own transport essential due to location)JBRP1_UKTJ
