Think Community Partnership are seeking a dedicated Service Charge Team Leader to join one of the leading providers of affordable housing in the Midlands, who strive to make a positive impact on the lives of their residents.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing professional to lead the service charge team and ensure the efficient management of service charges across their housing portfolio.Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate a team of service charge officers and administrators to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
* Oversee the accurate calculation, invoicing, and collection of service charges for housing properties.
* Monitor service charge budgets, analyse variances, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, leaseholders, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
* Continuously review and improve service charge processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices related to service charge management.Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role within the housing sector, ideally within a housing association or property management company.
* Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Good understanding of service charge legislation, regulations, and best practices.
* Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and housing management softwareBenefits:
