Our client a Midlands based property developer seeks a skilled Service Charge Accountant to join their clients growing team. Our client is seeking an individual with a strong grasp of service charge, legislation and best practise, exceptional skills in complex reconciliation, and a solid understanding of Excel. The Role:



As a Service Charge Accountant, you will be a key figure in ensuring the accurate management of service charge finances for residential properties. Your responsibilities will include:





  • Complex Reconciliation: Utilise your expertise in financial reconciliation to meticulously review and reconcile complex service charge accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.




  • Leasehold Knowledge: Leverage your comprehensive understanding of leasehold principles to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and to accurately allocate service charge costs.




  • Excel Proficiency: Apply your advanced Excel skills to create detailed financial reports, analyse data, and present information in a clear and concise manner.




  • Contractor Collaboration: Collaborate with contractors and service providers to accurately capture and allocate service charge expenditures, maintaining transparent communication and accurate financial records.







The Person:





  • The ideal candidate for this role will possess:




  • Leasehold Expertise: A strong understanding of leasehold regulations and principles, enabling accurate allocation and management of service charge costs.




  • Financial Acumen: Exceptional skills in financial reconciliation, with the ability to manage and analyse complex financial data with a high degree of accuracy.




  • Excel Mastery: Proficiency in using Excel to create reports, perform data analysis, and present financial information effectively.




  • Contractor Interaction: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with contractors and service providers, ensuring accurate recording and allocation of service charge expenditures.




  • Blocks Online Familiarity: Knowledge of property management software Fixflo�would be beneficial in managing financial data and optimising processes.
