Our client is an extremely successful Consultancy within Defence and Public Sector, and they are looking for Consultants with experience in Operating Model Design and Transformation, and Service Design to work with their clients to transform clients’ core business and operations to use technology and processes to maximise operational efficiency.This is an excellent opportunity to work across the full life cycle of operations transformation: from operating model design; through to operations transformation, including process re-engineering and operational performance improvement.You must have very strong Defence/NS and Customer facing skills to apply.This is a flexible role with approximately 2 days on site per week with further preparation for up to 4 days and travel to other sites.Key responsibilitiesWorking on Operating Model, Operations Transformation and Service Design projects for clients.Work with clients as they embrace new technology (such as the cloud).Delivery process re-engineering.Map the as-is and to-be of the organisation.Performing Service Design and Architecture tasks.Analysing and recommending tools and technology.Taking responsibility for the delivery of packages of work to adequate time and quality considerations.Identifying and escalating risks and issues.Identify new business opportunities and contribute to growing the account.In more senior roles: managing teams.Skills & experienceA strong background in Defence or National Security.Operating Model Design- understanding the as-is and to-be for the organisation.Experience creating optimal business architecture for using digital technologies to realise business strategies.Service Design- ensuring that client’s solutions deliver the best experiences and the maximum value to users, customers and staff.Beneficial would be someone who has used these skills in a cloud/digital transformation or data analytics context.Experience of designing and delivering operating model, service design and/or digital transformation solutions in using both traditional waterfall and agile delivery approaches.Previous experience within a heavily client facing role.An understanding of the major issues faced in the Defence and NS sector.Strong project management disciplines, including production of detailed project plans and working and delivering to strict time constraints.Have a proven record of building strong relationships with others to reach successful outcomes.For more junior levels: they are willing to consider those who have worked in a service environment and been involved in a restructure/TUPE/buy out and seen how a service has transitionedAdditional benefitsHolidays, starting at 25 days a year.A flexible contributory pension arrangement with matching contributions.Life assurance of six times your core salary (up to a maximum of six times the Earnings Cap, in force at date of death).Mobile phone is not fully funded but you can claim on expenses for business use.Our client is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.RECOMMEND A FRIEND: If you have professional friends/colleagues who would be interested in one of our roles and our excellent levels of service too, we'd like to recognise your recommendations with a 'thank you' of our own.
