The role is 5 days in the office, not hybrid, but with flexible hours
Our client is a well-known, premium womenswear brand. Creating beautiful, quality, clothing designed to be loved long-term. Empowering women and inspiring them to be adventurous. The company is small with a friendly and close-knit team. Housed in a luxury head office in London, selling across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels. Passionate about working with natural and luxurious fibres, as well as supporting communities through ethical trade and extensive charity work.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking for our client, a dynamic and imaginative Designer with a flair for soft separates design and an eye for bohemian influences. Joining the collaborative team, you'll be integral in shaping the brand's core collections, working closely with the Founder and Creative Director.
Key Responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
Collaborate with the Design Team and Creative Director to create seasonal mood boards and develop captivating colour palettes.
Understand and bring the brand's DNA to life through innovative collection designs, supported by meticulous hand-drawn sketches and careful consideration of past product sales performance.
Explore new trends within the brand’s rich archive, updating their collections with fresh, commercial styles.
Scout fabric and trim trends at global trade shows, ensuring each season incorporates the latest in textile innovation.
Champion product development, from technical specifications, to fit meetings and the wider process.
Qualifications and Skills you'll need for this role:
3 to 5 years of experience designing womenswear collections, coupled with a strong grasp of product development.
Proficiency in garment construction, pattern cutting, and fabric dyeing techniques.
Exceptional communication skills and a keen eye for global fashion trends.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines with ease and precision.
You're able to work well under pressure and manage strong personalities with diplomacy
