By forecasting workload and by modeling staffing scenarios we ensure an efficacious partner outreach, efficient and effective account management growth, and healthy return on investment.As a Senior Analyst, you will handle modeling forecasts, discovering insights, and finding opportunities through the use of statistical, data mining and visualization techniques. Your role will include collaborating with internal partners and transverse teams to analyze forecast variances, understanding and mitigating variance drivers, finding opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, and delivering against high organizational standards. This is a high impact and visibility role with meaningful interaction with senior leadership and with goals that directly impact the bottom line of the business.What you'll do:Work collaboratively with account management teams to gain in-depth knowledge of workstreams and performance metricsDevelop and maintain demand, workload, and staffing forecast models based on historical dataMaintain historical data hygiene as well as proactively adjusting forecast models to account for changes in processes and metricsGather and analyze data to identify trends and patterns. Make recommendations to reduce workload and improve productivity for partner teams. Supervise and track the results of recommendationsAnalyze for potential risks in staffing levels and develop/implement plans to aid the operation in mitigating the risks as neededUtilize system reporting tools to analyze current business processes and to support continuous process improvementsFind opportunities for improvement through data - setting targets, understanding drivers, assessing performance, and modelling scenariosPresent results back to the business in a structured, data-driven manner - simplifying complicated concepts for non-technical publicWho You Are:Have previous planning or forecasting experienceAdvanced Excel skills and competence in use of analytical tools : SQL, Salesforce, Tableau, etc. Experience with one or more of the statistical modeling languages/ toolboxes such as R, SAS, SPSS, Matlab, or Python is a plusAnalytical Mindset- a problem solving approach that gets to the underlying business questions in using a variety of data sourcesPartner Partnership - analytical resourcefulness and leadership, coupled with proven cross-functional partnership. Comfortable creating strategic recommendations and obtaining organizational approval at senior levelsEffective communicator - build and sustain effective communications with other roles involved in the projectFlexible approach - tailor experienced knowledge to meet specific circumstanceEducated to degree level or equivalentAbout Expedia Group
